I bought 10 panels, set up my easel in the 'sun' room, with the intention of getting up soon after dawn to paint the view. Since I am not a morning person, that idea changed pretty rapidly. The panels are 9x12 oils. A lot of grey mornings came after this one as you can see.
The theme is a local scene I know really well, ie the view out of the window. Combined with a typical Spring day, where one minute it is sunny and out of the blue comes a storm and deluge, and then back to sunny again.
Another pastel from a photograph, in the same style as Flying High and Treasures to Come. These paintings will be in the Women Painters of Washington Gallery in the Columbia Tower in Seattle. This is a large gallery on the 3rd floor.
